The Bridal Fitness Journey of Page Wilson: A New Chapter Begins
Hey there, fellow bride-to-be!
I'm Page Wilson, and guess what? I've just joined the engaged club! I'm still pinching myself. After 8 years of love, laughter, and way too many takeout dinners, my law school sweetheart, Alex, popped the question!
A little about me: I'm 32 years old, mergers and acquisitions lawyer by day, and an MBA student by night. Oh, and now... a bride-to-be? It feels surreal to type that! I'm based in the beautiful (and hilly) San Francisco - those hills are about to become my new workout buddies!
We're thinking Spring 2025 for the big day, but honestly, we've barely had time to breathe since the proposal. Between my caseload, MBA classes, and Alex's hectic schedule, wedding preparation hasn't exactly been our top priority. But I need to get moving, and fast!
Now, here's where things get real. My best friend, Zoe, got married last year and looked absolutely radiant. Her secret weapon? This Bridal Fitness Coach she's been raving about ever since. She's been nudging me to give it a try, but I've been dragging my feet. Then, last night, she sent me this game-changing reel from their Instagram page: "5 Ways to Overcome Your Fear of Working Out." It was like they were speaking directly to my soul! Before I could talk myself out of it, I took the plunge. I've booked a consultation with Tammy, the Bridal Fitness Coach, for next Friday. And now? I'm a bundle of nerves, excitement, and everything in between!
Here's the thing—I'm driven in my career. I'm gunning to open my own firm one day. But when it comes to self-care and post-pandemic health? Let's just say my idea of a workout is power-walking to the coffee machine. The thought of starting a wedding fitness plan is more daunting than facing a room full of opposing counsel!
What if I can't keep up? What if I fail miserably at this whole wedding weight loss thing and end up looking like a stressed-out lawyer instead of a blushing bride? The fitness anxiety is real!
I'm sharing this because, well, misery loves company? Kidding! (Sort of.) I'm hoping that by putting this out there, I'll feel more accountable. Plus, maybe you're in the same boat, trying to balance career ambitions with wedding plans and personal health and wellness.
So, here's my pledge: I'm going to give this bride-to-be fitness thing a real shot. I'm determined to overcome my fear of working out—for my health, for my happiness, and yes, for that wedding dress, I haven't even started looking for yet.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by it all, too? Want to join me on this terrifying yet exciting bridal fitness journey? We could be each other's cheerleaders!
If you hear, ‘I object!’ the next time you’re at the gym. That’s just me vs. the weights!
XOXO,
Page
