From "I'm Balancing" to "I'm Progressing": Confessions of a Resolute Bride-to-Be

Well, hello there, my fabulous fitness companions!

Can you believe it? We've stepped into 2025 – the year I'm actually getting married! *Cue mild panic attack* But before I spiral into a wedding planning frenzy, let's take a moment to reflect on this wild ride we call a fitness journey.

Remember last month when I was struggling to hit my 5,000 daily step goal amidst the year-end chaos? Well, I'm thrilled to report that not only did I survive the busy season, but I also managed to keep up with my fitness routine. Those strategies Tammy shared? Total lifesavers. And guess what? I'm now up to 7,000 steps a day! Who knew pacing during phone calls could be so productive?

Now, as promised, it's time for a little Q&A session. You asked, and I'm here to answer!

Q: "Page, how do you stay motivated when you'd rather binge-watch legal dramas?"

A: Two words: Workout Netflix. I've made a deal with myself – I can only watch my favorite shows while on the treadmill or exercise bike. Suddenly, I'm looking forward to cardio day. Who knew?

Q: "Have you seen any real changes yet?"

A: Besides the fact that I can now carry all my case files AND my gym bag without wheezing? Jokes aside, yes! I'm sleeping better, I have more energy, and – drumroll please – I've lost 12 pounds since starting this journey! The wedding dress boutiques better watch out; this bride is coming in hot!

Q: "How has this journey affected your relationship with Alex?"

A: Funny you should ask! I've invited a special guest to weigh in on this one. Take it away, Alex!

---

Hey everyone, Alex here. When Page first told me about this fitness journey, I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical. I mean, this is the woman who once tried to convince me that lifting her briefcase counted as weight training.

But I've got to hand it to her – and to Tammy at Bridal Fitness Coach – the change has been incredible. Not just physically, but in Page's whole attitude. She's more confident, less stressed, and honestly, a lot more fun to be around. (Don't tell her I said that last part, or she'll make me join her for burpees.)

The best part? We're finding new ways to spend time together. Weekend hikes, cooking healthy meals, and yes, even some couples workouts. Though I draw the line at matching sweatbands – a man has to have some limits.

Thanks, Alex! See, folks? It's not just about looking good in a wedding dress (though that's definitely a perk). This journey is changing my whole life, one squat at a time.

As we dive into this new year, I'm setting some fresh goals. By the end of January, I want to:

1. Master the art of meal prep (without setting off the smoke alarm)

2. Increase my daily step count to 10,000 (Time to start pacing during phone calls!)

3. Complete a "Dry January" challenge (Every calorie counts on this wedding fitness journey!)

Speaking of the Dry January challenge, Tammy's been a lifesaver. She set up a special habit tracker in my Bridal Fitness Coach app to help me stay on track. Now I get to check off each day I stick to it, and seeing that streak grow is surprisingly motivating. Who knew a little digital checkmark could be so satisfying?

Tammy's been telling me for months about how those empty alcohol calories can slow down progress, but I wasn't ready to give up my occasional cocktails and weekend wines. Now that the year-end celebrations are behind us, I'm finally taking the plunge. I'm curious to see how this impacts my energy levels and workout performance.

I thought I'd get creative with mocktails, but Tammy quickly cautioned me about the sugar content in some of those fancy alcohol-free concoctions. Looks like I'll be perfecting my sparkling water with a splash of lime instead. Who knew fitness would turn me into a beverage connoisseur?

So, my dear bride tribe, what are your fitness goals for this shiny new year? Remember, we're in this together. Keep using #BridalFitnessDiaries to share your triumphs, your struggles, and your "I can't believe I'm voluntarily doing this" moments.

Here's to a year of growth, strength, and maybe, just maybe, learning to love my workouts as much as I love winning cases.

May it please the court, I move for an extension... of my workout routine! Who's with me?

XOXO,

Page
