From "I Didn't" to "I'm Trying": Confessions of a Fitness Newbie

Hey there, fellow brides-to-be!

Remember last month when I finally mustered up the courage to reschedule my consultation with Bridal Fitness Coach? Well, can you believe it's been a whole month since I took that plunge and actually signed up for the program? Your girl Page is officially one month into this wild fitness journey, and let me tell you, it's been quite the ride!

First things first: Tammy, my dedicated coach, didn't laugh at me. (I know, I'm as shocked as you are!) Instead, she listened to all my worries and helped me set an actual, achievable goal. By my wedding day (March 29, 2025 – eek!), I'm aiming to lose 20 pounds. It felt a bit overwhelming at first, but Tammy assured me it’s generally safe to lose 1-2 pounds per week. We agreed on 1 pound per week. Suddenly, it feels doable!

Now, let me spill the tea on this program. It's not just your average "here's a workout plan, good luck" deal. Tammy checks in with me daily through the app, and our weekly video calls keep me accountable. No more hiding from my fitness goals behind a stack of legal briefs!

The best part? This program fits into my chaotic schedule like a perfectly tailored suit. The app's daily dashboard has become my new best friend (sorry, Zoe!), tracking everything from workouts to nutrition. Who knew I'd get so excited about hitting my step count between depositions?

This past month hasn't been all green smoothies and endorphin highs. There have been days when my arms felt like overcooked spaghetti, and times when I seriously considered eloping just to avoid another plank. (Alex, if you're reading this, I'm kidding... mostly.) But there have also been moments of triumph, like holding a plank for a full minute without collapsing. Progress, people!

Of course, I couldn't do this without my support system. Zoe's been my unofficial cheerleader, Alex has been a trooper, and all of you, my virtual bride squad, keep me going with your comments and messages.

As I gear up for month two, I want to hear from you! What fitness milestones are you working towards? Any tips for a newfound fitness enthusiast whose idea of heavy lifting used to be carrying a stack of legal files?

Remember, we're all in this together. Whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned pro, let's keep pushing each other towards those goals. Use #BridalFitnessDiaries to share your journey – who knows, you might just inspire another terrified bride-to-be to take that first step!

If you hear "I object!" at the gym, that's just me vs. the weights!

XOXO,

Page
